CALS Knitting for Noggins Display
We had enough work to also showcase hats made for Knitting for Noggins, a project of Arkansas Children's Hospital.
CALS Sit 'n Stitch Display
The library invited our lunch-time stitching group to put up some of our work. Ravelers Beamer, Betlamb, cedartree, heatherbug, knitngrin, lstueart, naturalstateknit, opal002, and tagalong contributed FOs, books, or tools.

Adam's rib (in the garden) socks
I am thrilled with how this handpainted yarn is striping. I dyed it in Kay Meadors' class (Naturalstateknitter on Ravelry) at the Arkansas Arts Center in June. The colors make me think of summer vegetables from my garden--eggplant, tomatoes, hot peppers, lettuce.

Ravelympics finish line!
The Ravelympics On Your Toes Socks are done! These will be a great gift for Christmas...recipient is a secret, but she will love these colors.
Finished them in the car on the way to Mountain View to look at cabins with Mr. Fixit. We'll be back up there with friends over Labor Day.
I think I have finally mastered the short row heel. On to Bird in Hand #2.

Mainly in Maine
Had a fun trip to Maine last week with Emily, with stays in Freeport and Acadia National Park. No LYS visits, but we did see two alpaca farmers at a little farmer's market in Freeport. It was cool and rainy, a nice break from Arkansas.
Completed the brown koigu socks (with red toes) on the plane, and started the Regia Kaffe Fassett toe-up socks. Planning to finish these and the second Bird in Hand mitten for the Ravelympics.
Best souvenir: Emily flew home with me.

Learning
R. shared his new favorite quote with me:
